Anonymous: Instead of being a fucking idiot, look at the good those websites do for people for whatever reason cannot get outside help. Don't give me "if u want it bad enough you'll find a way to get help" bullshit. It's not up to you to say where people should look for help. Grow up and stay in your lane. Indicating back over to mine now.
Maybe you should grow the fuck up and use your potential to improve your well being instead of telling people to stay in their lane.
It’s called being fucking lazy and not doing shit to help yourself. If you enjoy feeling like ass by all means stay in your lane.
saying suspect instead of sketchy
I do not hate poor people (my family used to be poor and I am borderline poor by Canada’s standardslol) and I do not hate people with mental illnesses. I DISLIKE when people pretend to have a mental illness and/ or mis diagnosing themselves.
I remember I used think I had cancer every time something hurt in my body. But I realized that it was detrimental to my well being and is a waste of time. Instead I do stuff which makes me enjoy living.
Anonymous: When you self-diagnose you have a very subjective (and possibly biased) point of view to go by. You may have a very skewed self-view without even knowing it and you don't perceive yourself the way others do. You can't look at yourself objectively which therapists can and because of that I think (competent) therapists are generally more able to make a more accurate diagnosis.
Anonymous: why do you hate poor people who cant afford therapy and diagnostics? why do you hate people who have illnesses so severe they cant talk to others or leave their house to get diagnosed?
I never said any of those things and hate is a strong word. if you are talking about yourself you do realize you are still talking to me in anon form.
Anonymous: no not prescribe medicine. make a mistake. i said professionals can you said so can self dxers. they both can thats the point! if a person makes a mistake in diagnosing or a professional does its literally the same.
yes they can make mistakes. but they still have a lot more resources than an admin on a blog does lol
Anonymous: "tear yourselfs away from the internet" some mentally ill people can literally never do this. whats your problem why do you hate mentally ill people so much
see that where the problem is. it is when you spend too much time on the internet when you start going crazy and forgetting what living is. I found time to go outside and clear my head. maybe you should do the same instead of freaking out.
Anonymous: and what about the people who have severe cases who cant afford therapy or medication? just fuck them then right? thats what youre saying
I never said that actually. I couldn’t afford meds or a therapist. but it’s called being resourceful if you want something to be gone badly. Clearly people who don’t put much effort into that don’t really have it in my opinion.
Anonymous: yes so can self dxers. thats the point. professionals can easily make the same mistakes. your argument doesnt make sense!
you can’t prescribe yourself medications? and unless you’ve studied psychology you can assume anything you want but it may not be that
Anonymous: @last anon, You can't fucking diagnose yourself with things JUST because you want validation or a place to belong. Sure, you might relate to certain things about a mental disorder but that does not necessarily mean that you have it. And again, people on here crave validation because they want to feel special (everyone does more or less but these people take it too far :)).
Anonymous: what self dxers do: use the dms-5 to look up their symptoms, what professionals do: use the dms-5 to look up their patients symptoms.
professionals can also determine if there are underlying issues or give medications to cases which are too serious to be treated only with therapy.
Anonymous: did you know that professionals can misdiagnose? what they say isnt the end all be all.
so can a group of self diagnosed morons.
Anonymous: ok so all these people self-dxing? are not trying to treat themselves in unsafe ways, they're trying to find a community and language to describe their experience which is immensely validating and helps people not to feel like theyre alone or bad ppl
but what if there was nothing to treat? As I said some people do have an illness and some who think that they do don’t. They want to feel mental illness so bad that they convince themselves of it.
There is nothing wrong about trying to cope by talking to people online but sometimes you have to tear yourself away from the internet and find other ways than that.
